Dating advice
July 21st 2006 13:29
Greetings!!
You know...I am writing this dating blog but I am someone who can dish out a bit of acid from time to time...so watch out...it is all in good faith really and truly, so sit back and lets go for a ride!!!
I am trying to think of what sort of advice I can give to you all, since you may have noticed I am now not the person who wrote the previous posts who seems to have disappeared off the richter scale...i hope they are ok...but i am someone else..infact i am Felix.....yes, this is who i was when i last checked ... i can say to start off with is hello! to those visiting here and yes, I will be writing dating advice 'from the trenches'...hot off the press so to speak
first off i must say that dating is a great way to get to know whether it is possible to BE YOURSELF with another person
this is really reeeeaaaalllly important...
why?
well, as we know, when we are with someone who is not being themselves...we are in for a rude surprise when they drop the defense and show their true colours...we feel cheated, betrayed, like we had got to know someone and made all this effort when all along they were really someone else
so why not cut all the crap, save the tears and actually be yourself when you meet someone? that way you can test if it is possible to be with another person as your own self, give them a chance to get to know you and any relating is going to have a greater chance of being real and lasting
sounds like a stupid risk i hear some of you say
yeah..it is a risk..but not a stupid one...it actually saves heaps of heartache in the end and you get to test out being true to yourself AND with someone else at the same time...so actually is a pretty good deal when you look at it that way
now you are asking Ok , well how do I be true to myself and how is that going to attract a potential date?
well..i have said quite enough already..so i will leave that to next time we meet, meanwhile have a think about it OK?
Felix
